In Beijing we stayed in the Harmony Hotel. To me that was a good way to start our 4 week roundtrip. The room was spacious and very clean. In the bathroom there was soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb (as in most Chinese hotels). The room was quiet. For breakfast there was a buffet, with Western and Chinese dishes. The price for breakfast . . . . well, one day I payed 30 yuan, and the next day I only payed 20 yuan, so it was not really clear what the exact price was.

There was a business centre with (expensive) internet possibilities. It was much cheaper at the internetcafe near the Hutong quarter just behind the hotel. The location was great, only a few minutes of walk towards the Beijingzhan Metro Station. And from there you could discover the whole City for a few Yuan. There were also plenty of taxis near the railway station.
