| Moussa calls to encounter Israeli policy in West Bank |
Arab League (AL) Secretary General Amr Moussa on Monday urged Arab countries and the international community to adopt a clear decision regarding Israel's attempts to expel the Palestinians out of their homes in the West Bank, the official ANA news agency reported.
Moussa made these remarks during his meeting here with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
At a press conference after the meeting, Moussa said he discussed with the Syrian president the Israeli government's decision on Sunday which intends to apply a collective expulsion against the Palestinians.
On Sunday, Israel Ha'aretz newspaper reported that Israel would deport Palestinians born outside the West Bank, including their children even if they were born in the West Bank. "We believe that Israel behaves like this because it has been given immunity from the international laws," Moussa said.
"Thus, this immunity must be ended, because as long as Israel is protected, the situation is going to get worse and it will be so difficult to achieve peace, to establish a real Palestinian state or to keep the rights of the people under occupation," he added.
Moussa said he will discuss with Arab and Palestinian officials on how to face the Israeli actions.
Talks between Moussa and al-Assad also dealt with the proposal to establish the Association of Arab Neighborhood, which was introduced by Moussa during the last AL summit held in Libya in March.
Moussa's visit here is part of a tour in the region including Syria, Jordan and other Arab states.
